Four days and three nights exploring the wonderful Amazon, the Marañón and Ucayali rivers and their tributaries. The Pacaya Samiria Reserve will be the perfect scenario for a trip into the most exotic areas nature has to offer. As we enter the world’s largest flooded forest, we will admire the extraordinary wildlife, the immense number of primate species, the hundreds of colorful exotic birds, the close-up view of the gray and pink dolphins, the visit to the villages local, “the jungle of mirrors”, nocturnal wildlife safaris, a visit to the Manatee Rescue Center and many additional activities that will allow you to get to know and fall in love with the incredible Amazon.

Notes
- The proposed itineraries and programs may vary depending on the weather, the river´s water level, the migratory cycles of the animals and time changes in recommended flights.
- Local communities´ visits: the visits will depend on the availability of its inhabitants. We try to avoid the negative
effects of the activity on the identity of cultures and protect the environment. - Excursions: before each outing, we offer waterproof rubber boots for your comfort and convenience; and after each departure, they will be returned to the staff for cleaning. We also offer waterproof rain ponchos.
- Kayaks: ask your naturalist guide about kayak rides, which will depend on the weather conditions on the days of your trip. You are welcome to sign up for kayak tours at your own risk. These rides take place in calm waters where you can paddle in a relaxed way. Our kayaks are ideal for two passengers.
- Fishing: Our fishing policy is based on catch and release.

Day 1 - Wednesday:
Iquitos > Nauta > Maranón River > Yacapana
Pick up at the airport and transfer by private vehicle to Nauta port, for boarding. On the road you will enjoy a box lunch. Our staff will accompany you to your suite specially equipped with comfortable beds, pure Peruvian pima cotton sheets, cotton bathrobes, air conditioning, private bathroom with shower and amenities.
Before sailing, our bartender will serve you a cocktail prepared with fruits from the region and pisco, the most popular national liquor in Peru. Do not miss the opportunity to savor it while enjoying a full view of the river from the observation deck, or a panoramic view in the indoor or outdoor lounge.
Once we start sailing the naturalist guides will present an overview of the trip program, such as activities, routes, information on wildlife and vegetation, the geographical and historical background, as well as other useful details. If you have any doubts or questions, our guides are always very happy to assist you.
After the welcome briefing we will enjoy a delicious appetizers and have time to rest before the next outing on skiffs to Yacapana, where you will enjoy a night excursion in search of alligators, tarantulas, frogs and other species that appear when the sun goes down.
Return to the ship and dinner on board. Begin your trip with a special Peruvian dinner with an Amazonian influence. It is a varied menu that includes a vegetarian option. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements in advance.
Day 2 - Thursday
Amazon River > San Joaquin De Omaguas > Yarapa River > Ucayali River
At dawn, before breakfast, we will go out by boat to explore the Amazon River, where we will observe the daily activities that each community carries out on the banks of the river.
Back on the ship you can enjoy our buffet breakfast, which offers a daily selection of traditional dishes, Peruvian specialties, freshly baked homemade products and a variety of freshly prepared juices. After breakfast we will start a boat excursion to explore the Yarapa black water river in search of wildlife.
Return to the cruise and enjoy lunch on board. Before the activity in the afternoon, the guides will give a talk about the local culture. In the afternoon, we will visit the community of Paranapura, where we will appreciate how they live and learn about their customs, always accompanied by our guides, who will act as interpreters for us.
Towards sunset, we will go in search of animals that can only be seen when the sun goes down: alligators, bats, frogs, tarantulas and other species that populate our biodiverse jungle. Before dinner, you can enjoy live music by the band on board, which will play a varied repertoire of Amazonian, national and international music.
Day 3 - Friday
Yarapa on Ucayali River (Black Water) – Yucuruchi – Amazon River (Origin)
Before breakfast, we will start an excursion by boat, but this time on the Yarapa River, in search of new imposing landscapes and more emblematic species of the Amazon.
Return to Zafiro for breakfast. After breakfast, we will start a walk in Yucuruchi, the area of the Ucayali River, located in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where numerous species of native animals will be sighted.
Return to the ship. At noon we will offer lunch and then you will have time to rest before the afternoon outing, a boat trip on the Amazon River, in search of the curious pink dolphins and other species. Before returning to the ship, appreciate the breathtaking colors of the Amazonian sunset.
Back on the ship, we will have time to rest and relax with live music while we make time before the presentation of the crew and farewell dinner.
Day 4 - Saturday:
Disembarkation in Nauta Port
After breakfast, we will proceed to disembark. On your way to the airport, visit Amazon Forever Bio Park, also known as Manatees Rescue Center, where biologists and volunteers care for manatees, an endangered species. Learn how manatees are treated and prepared for their return to their natural habitat. Likewise, other animals are also rescued, treated and reinserted in their natural Activities on board habitat. Jungle Experiences actively collaborates with this dedicated organization and think tank. We invite you to do so as well and help this meaningful cause.

IMPORTANT
- Rates are expressed in US Dollars, per person, based on double occupancy.
- Single Supplement is 30% in addition to the adult rate.
- Child policy: the recommended age is 7 years old + on all departures. Children aged 7 to 11 years old are eligible for a 50% discount from theadult rate. Children must be accompanied by one or two adults per suite. The capacity is of one child per suite.
- Charter: Pricing for custom-designed charters are quoted according to your specific request and needs.
RATE INCLUSIONS
- 1 night accommodation Hotel - City of Iquitos. (Only 8D/7N and 5D/4N programs).
- Lunch is included before boarding at our DoubleTree by Hilton Iquitos hotel. (This service depens on the arrival time of the recommended flight, which might change), (Valid for the 8D/7N and 5D/4N programs), (The 4D/3N itinerary includes a box lunch).
- All meals while on board Zafiro.
- All excursions & equipment (including rubber boots & rain ponchos).
- Transfers from / to the airport on the recommended flights.
- In case the passengers stay in Iquitos city hotels – please inform the reservations department to coordinate the pick up or drop off service at reservas@amazonrex.com
- Entrance fee to Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.
- Beverages: Sodas, natural juices, coffee, tea, water, local beer, and house wines available at all times. Premium bar available at an additional cost. Cocktails, spirits, and bottled water are not included.

RATE EXCLUSIONS
- Domestic flights.
- Cost of medical emergencies (including evacuation).
- Tipping etiquette: On board Zafiro cruise, we recommend a tip amount of USD 60 per passenger per night for the crew (which will be divided among all crew members) and a tip amount of USD 40 per passenger per night for the guides. Please note that these amounts are suggested and that this is entirely at the discretion of our guests.
- Any additional transportation services.
- Any additional bar consumptions.
- Any spa services.
- Binocular rental (onboard cost: USD 10 for the entire cruise).

BOOKING POLICY
- For all travel agents registered in our agent portal, we offer the benefit of holding tentative bookings without prepayment for up to 7 days. This benefit is exclusive to individual reservations
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS FOR INDIVIDUALS/FITS
- Reservations made 91 days or more before departure: A deposit of US$ 500 per person is required to confirm the booking.The remaining balance must be paid 90 days prior to departure. If payment is not received on time, the space will be automatically released.
- Reservations made 90 days or less prior to departure: A full, non-refundable payment is required to confirm the booking.
CANCELATION POLICY
- For cancellations made 180 days or more prior to the departure date: The deposit will be refunded, less USD 300 per person for administrative fees.
- For Cancelations made 179 to 91 days prior to departure: All deposits are nonrefundable.
- For Cancelations made 90 days or less prior to departure: Full payment will be applied as the cancelation penalty. *These policies are subject to change without prior notice.
DEPARTURE DATE CHANGE POLICY
- Jungle Experiences permits guests to change the departure date of their cruise at least 181 days prior to their original date of departure without penalty.
- A fee of USD 500 per person will be applied for date changes made between 180 and 121 days prior to departure.
- No date changes are permitted within 120 days from departure.
NAME CHANGE POLICY
- Jungle Experiences permits guests to change their names to other travelers’ names up to 60 days prior departure date, without penalty.
- In case there is a change of name requested 59 days or less prior eparture date, there will be a USD 200 penalty charge per person.
